Dear Bonnie Brennan Families: November 1, 2019
It is with great pride, gratitude and humility that I share some amazing news with our families and community.
On Friday November 1, 2019, the Arizona Department of Education released the Arizona State Report Card for the 2018-2019 school year and Bonnie Brennan Elementary School received an “A” school rating.
Last year we were a “B” school missing an “A” by 1% and we set a goal to improve our performance this year.
I wish to thank our hard working students, teachers, staff, parents and families for putting forth a tremendous effort to make our team goal a reality for everyone involved. This took a focused intentional effort to make this come to fruition and we are all very happy with the results.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.” We did it! Yes, we accomplished something very big for our school and community and we are planning to celebrate this wonderful victory in the near future. (TBA)
Thank you for all your support!
Mr. D. Troy McReynolds, Principal
BE GOOD - WORK HARD - GET SMART
Dear Parents and Family Members: August 2019
Welcome to the 2019 - 2020 school year! We are all excited to have the kids return and we look forward to working with you to make sure that your child will be successful. We care very much about our students and we want them all to experience success socially, emotionally, and academically. School needs to be fun for kids as they work towards the goals.
Our team of professional educators is committed to creating a safe, positive school climate where you and your children will feel welcomed and supported. School safety, high student achievement (mastery learning), and excellent communication and cooperation with you are our top priorities.
We know that a strong home-school connection is very important and we ask you to support our efforts by supporting what we are doing at school. Parents are every child's first teacher and we need your help by either volunteering and/or giving financial support through our tax credit program. Let's all work together to give your children and our student every advantage as they grow up and become happy, successful, productive adults.
What does your child need to do to be successful at school?
It's easy! (1) Be Good (behave) and (2) Work Hard (give his/her best effort).
Our theme this year will be "ALL IN FOR KIDS". We want our students to learn that if they apply themselves and work that they can accomplish anything they set out to do. The sky is the limit!
If we can help you in anyway, please contact our office at (928)288-8400
Again, we look forward to working with you on behalf of your children.
Mr. D. Troy McReynolds, Principal
