Bonnie Brennan Elementary School was the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and the University of Phoenix. The school principal applied for a Teaming Up for Education Grant that looks to support school goals. The grant will help Bonnie Brennan Elementary School bring to life their plans to enhance collaborative learning opportunities for students through the purchase of school furniture.
On Friday, May 3 staff and students from Bonnie Brennan Elementary School attended the Diamonbacks game in celebration of receiving the grant. Larissa Richards and Mica Vasquez participated in the pre-game recognition on the field with other school recipients from around the state. The Diamondbacks generously donated 200 tickets to our school. Staff, students, and families traveled to Phoenix to attend the game.
