On March 7 Bonnie Brennan students will be participating in an assembly presented by the Clear Creek Cowboys. The Clear Creek Cowboys will be sharing historical information about United States mail being delivered via horseback in Arizona and specifically within our region. This is an important part of Arizona's state history, which is covered as part of 3rd and 4th Social Studies state standards.
Students will be given an opportunity to write a letter to a person of their choice that will be delivered via horseback using the same routes that were used historically. Students are asked to bring a stamp that will cover standard postage for a US letter and the name/address fo the person they would like to send a letter to.
