Q4 Letter from the Principal

Dear Bulldog Families, 
 
We have just completed a very productive quarter three!  Here are some of the major highlights from the last few months:
  • Family Math Night for Pre K-6 Families
  • 2 sessions offered of 3rd Grade STEM Club
  • 2 sessions offered of 4th Grade STEM Club
  • Robotics competed at Arizona State University
  • Sight Words With Friends Breakfast Club held 4 mornings a week  
  • After School Targeted Tutoring for 3rd and 4th graders based on MAP projections 
  • Tucker Baker participated in the Navajo County Spelling Bee
  • 76 students qualified for our Awesome Attendance Party. 
  • WHS Math Club came for a third round of math foundational games with our students
  • Read Across America Day
  • Celebrated AR with a game party
  • YANA completed 2 campus service projects (cactus messages and campus clean up)
  • Mrs. Avelar's class are now back to back champions for multiplication and division challenges
Quarter 4 is jam packed with important events to finish off our school year.  First and foremost, we want students to feel confident and ready for state testing, which takes place throughout April. Please take note of the dates, and encourage your child to put forth their very best effort on testing days. We plan to end the year with some exciting events such as grade level field trips and field day.  Students have received a behavior contract, which details the expectations for participation in these fun end-of-year events. We hope that all students will strive for excellence in their attendance, academic performance, and behavior. Thank you for all of the ways you support your child's learning!!!
